Lithium iron phosphate battery is a type of lithium ion battery and is used in high power applications, such as EV, HEV, and portable consumer electronic devices. It is a rechargeable battery that consist of iron phosphate that acts as cathode and carbon as anode. This battery has good electrochemical performance with low resistance. The advantage of using this battery is that it increases the thermal stability and safety and has high current density and longer lifespan as compared to other lithium ion batteries. This technology has excellent deep-discharge cycle life that shields the battery by cycling it more shallowly.
